Community Relations

Coast Hotels & Resorts feels a responsibility to give back to the communities in which we work and live by supporting charities and events on a local, regional and national level. We are proud to support the following causes:

Coast Athlete Assistance Program
Coast Hotels the "Coast Athlete Assistance Program" (CAAP) developed to support the dreams of athletes who represent Canada on the world stage. CAAP assists athletes currently training with one of Canada's National teams but who do not currently receive Sport Canada funding. The program gives Coast employees the opportunities to give back to their community with the assistance of their employer and to foster a relationship with a world class athlete. PacificSport in BC and the Canadian Sport Centre in Alberta partner with Coast Hotels to deliver the CAAP program.

Every June, the Coast Hotels & Resorts Annual Golf Classic is held to raise funds supporting CAAP. The weather is usually superb, the prizes are plentiful and the benefits to the charities are immeasurable.

BC SPCA
Coast Hotels & Resorts is a provincial sponsor of the BC SPCA’s main fundraising event, “the 2008 Paws for a Cause” campaign. As a pet-friendly hotel chain, Coast supports the valuable work of this organization.

Esteem Team
We are proud sponsors of the Esteem Team. This organization is made up of Olympic & World Class athletes who speak to approximately 100,000 students annually throughout Canada . These role models "share their personal stories of challenge, perseverance and success to motivate and inspire young people to make positive life choices".
