    May 21st, 2009
Vancouver, B.C. – May 21, 2009 – Coast Hotels & Resorts scored a triple win at the Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association's (AHLA) 2009 Awards with three of its hotels winning excellence in housekeeping awards.

The Coast Medicine Hat Hotel won the prestigious housekeeping award for the seventh consecutive year.  Calgary’s Coast Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre received the award for the third year in a row and the Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel won the award for the fourth time in five years.

The AHLA Housekeeping Award, established in 1983, is presented annually by the Alberta tourism industry and Alberta Economic Development to hotels that demonstrate excellence in housekeeping. Award winners belong to a select group of properties that participate in the Tourism Alberta Approved Accommodation Program and who have achieved superiority in cleanliness, comfort and maintenance.

“We are extremely proud that these three hotels have been recognized by the Alberta hotel industry for their commitment to providing the highest level of guest service and satisfaction,” said Graeme Barrit, President of Coast Hotels & Resorts. “These awards highlight the industry-leading standards that have made the Coast Hotels & Resorts brand so successful and are a reflection of the unwavering dedication and passion our employees display every day.”
